CONTRIBUTES TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF MONTEREY COUNTY

MCVGA Provides Charitable Contribution for New Facility

MONTEREY, CA. - March 7, 2003 - The Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association (MCVGA) and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County are pleased to announce that MCVGA has made a charitable contribution in the amount of $15,000 to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County. Each year, MCVGA selects a local charitable cause to receive a portion of the proceeds earned at the MCVGA Annual Auction. The MCVGA donation to The Boys and Girls Club is a result of the recent MCVGA Auction; which featured wine, entertainment, and lifestyle packages.

"MCVGA selected The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County as one of the beneficiaries of the auction because of the wonderful work that they perform in our community," states Rhonda Motil, Executive Director of MCVGA. "We believe that every child should have a rewarding and safe environment to develop their talents, while building their confidence and self esteem. The new Boys and Girls Club that is being built in Salinas is certain to have a positive impact on the youth in our area. We are pleased that we can contribute to such a worthwhile cause."

In discussing the partnership with MCVGA, Donna Ferraro, Executive Director of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County, comments, "It has been a pleasure working with the vintners and growers of MCVGA. The grape growing industry consistently gives back to the community and their generous contribution to our organization demonstrates their ongoing desire to be a "good neighbor" and have an active presence in Monterey County. Their donation will help to make a difference in the lives of many children in our community."
