MONTEREY COUNTY VINTNERS AND GROWERS ASSOCIATION
APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rhonda Motil Selected to Lead the Prospering Wine Region in Monterey County

MONTEREY, CA. - April 3, 2002 - The Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association (MCVGA) is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Rhonda Motil as the new Executive Director of the MCVGA. MCVGA is comprised of 56 wineries and vineyards that represent over 40,000 acres within Monterey County. The organization's mission is to establish Monterey County as a world-renowned grape growing and wine-producing region.

Ms. Motil joins MCGVA after several executive management and marketing positions with notable firms in the high tech industry, as well as a role in public service. Most recently, Ms. Motil was the Vice President of Corporate Marketing at iPIN, where she was responsible for establishing the company as an international web and wireless electronic payment provider in Europe, Asia, and North America. Prior to iPIN, Ms. Motil was the Vice President of Marketing at Advanced Data Exchange, formerly The EC Company. While at Sterling Commerce, acquired by SBC Communications, Inc., Ms. Motil was responsible for guiding the GENTRAN product solutions and launching the company's first Internet products. Ms. Motil began her career with the Department of Defense, where she led several of the first electronic commerce initiatives to streamline the procurement and supplier sourcing process.

"It is an exciting time for the both the members of the MCVGA and the community of Monterey," stated Ms. Motil. "The association possesses so many aspects that were appealing to me - a unique climatic region that is instrumental in producing award winning wines, a fabulous community of growers and vintners who are passionate about their profession, and a diverse county that is home to numerous activities and events that are complementary to the association's objectives. I look forward to guiding the efforts that will position the Monterey County vintners and growers as a leading international provider of fine wines that all can enjoy."

"Rhonda's entrepreneurial background was very attractive to the association," stated Claude Hoover, MCVGA Board President. "She has an excellent record of working with prospering organizations and supporting their development as they become leaders within their respective industries. As MCVGA increases its visibility in publicity, programs, and events, we are confident that Rhonda possesses the skills to lead those efforts and grow with us."

Ms. Motil holds an MBA from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH, and BS degrees in both Marketing and Management from Gannon University, Erie, Pennsylvania. Ms. Motil is also active in the community as a volunteer for various non-profit organizations that facilitate the temporary placement and adoption of children in transition as well as the housing and support of women in crisis.
